Indianapolis opens new airport terminal
(11/20/2008)  The $1.1 billion Indianapolis International Airport Col. H. Weir Cook Terminal is now open. The 1.2 million square-foot facility, which can handle up to 12 million passengers per year, features new security features mandated by the FAA and TSA and 40 gates, including international gates.

Sands completes stock offerings, raises $2.1 billion
(11/20/2008) The Las Vegas Sands Corp. has completed its offering of common stock, preferred stock and warrants, providing $2.1 billion of additional capital to the company. The action follows the company's previous announcement that it's in danger of defaulting on $5.2 billion in credit facilities.

Gaylord calls off Chula Vista convention hotel plans
(11/18/2008) Gaylord Entertainment has cancelled its plans to develop a resort and convention hotel in Chula Vista, CA. According to the company, prolonged planning and approval processes, a complicated regulatory and legal structure and excessive off-site infrastructure costs contributed to the move.

EHX @ CES will take over EHX Fall, the West Coast expo and trade show, following the 2008 event being held this week at the Long Beach Convention Center.
